ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE CENTER “GENOCIDE IN KOSOVO – AN OPEN WOUND”

On June 30, 2019, in Bern, Switzerland, the “GENOCIDE CENTER IN KOSOVO – AN OPEN WOUND” was established.

The Center aims to turn into an organized network of intellectuals and activists who volunteer to provide accurate information, to entirely elucidate the genocide in Kosovo as well as insist on the indispensable triumph of justice.

At the meeting of June 30, the logo of the Center was approved. The four poppy petals of this logo represent the four forms of genocidal actions that were carried out in Kosovo: murder, sexual abuse, ethnic cleansing and the destruction of objects related to Albanian ethnicity and identity. In the place of poppy seeds, the logo features figures of men, women, boys and girls, to incorporate all categories of Albanians who were the target of destruction of the Serbian genocide policy.

The founders decided to entrust political scientist Bardhyl Mahmuti with the chairing of the Center.

We invite all those interested in voluntarily supporting the elucidation of the genocide in Kosovo, anywhere around the world, to join the center “GENOCIDE IN KOSOVO – AN OPEN WOUND” and contribute to expose the tragedy the Albanian people of Kosovo went through in every corner of the globe.
